Electronic telephone apparatus "Eta 80", a case of industrial design plagiarism and call for assistance in exaction of royalties

Yugoslav industrial designer Davorin Savnik has designed in late seventies ETA 80 telephone apparatus for "ISKRA", which has determined the worldwide telephone design in the early eighties. This telephone apparatus became the most copied model in the world. "ISKRA" did not protected satisfactorily this design and has lost over 60.000.000 $ a year. Savnik was again successful in new design of ETA 900 in 1989 and the problem is how to protect this design. Designer Savnik raises the question of possible exaction of royalties and calls for assistance the participants in case study offering a fair reward.
