(a) The East Caribbean Dollar is also used in Antigua, Dominica, Montserrat, St Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla, St Lucia and St Vincent.

(b) The Jamaican Dollar is also used in the Cayman Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

(c) The Trinidad and Tobago Dollar is also used in Grenada.

In the Western Pacific High Commission, comprising the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, the British Solomon Islands and the New Hebrides, Australian decimal currency is used throughout. In the latter, the New Hebrides franc, 100 of which equal one Australian Dollar, is also used.

(i) The Bahamian Dollar was up-valued on 2nd February 1970 to bring it in par with the US Dollar.

(ii) Bermuda has introduced a decimal currency, based on the Bermuda Dollar at a rate of 2-4 to the Bermuda Pound which remains legal tender for the time being.

(iii) Under a certificate scheme effective from 6th May 1968 the Central Bank of Ceylon will buy sterling at Rs.19.20 to the £, compared with the official rate of Rs.14.28.

(iv) Decimal currency since January 1969.

(v) Decimal currency was introduced on 6th September 1969. The Jamaican Dollar is equal to half the old Jamaican Pound.

(vi) The Kwacha (equa. to 100 Ngwa) was introduced on 16th January 1968. (vii) Canadian dollar pegged for the last eight years at 92.5 U.S. cents allowed to float from 1st June 1970.
