Stran 9 - If any provision of this Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the Act and the application of such provisions to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.
Stran 57 - Farm Credit Act of 1953. This act directed the Board to make recommendations to the Congress for carrying into effect the declared policy to increase borrower participation in the management, control, and ultimate ownership of the permanent system of agricultural credit made available through the banks and associations operating under the supervision of the Farm Credit Administration.
Stran 3 - Board shall receive a salary at the rate of $10,000 per annum, together with necessary traveling and subsistence expenses, or per diem allowance in lieu thereof...
Stran 8 - Each board is made up of seven members — one is elected by national farm loan associations, one by production credit associations, one by cooperatives which are stockholders or subscribers to the guaranty fund of the regional bank for cooperatives in the district, three appointed by the Governor of the Farm Credit Administration, and one member appointed by the Governor from the three candidates receiving the greatest number of nominating votes by national farm loan associations.
Stran 106 - Subscribers to the guaranty fund shall be entitled to dividends in the same amounts as subscribers to stock. No rate of dividend in excess of 7 per centum per annum shall be paid. Dividends on stock held by the governor, when paid, shall be credited to the revolving fund created under section 6 of the Agricultural Marketing Act, as amended, DEBENTURES OF CENTRAL BANK SEC.
Stran 77 - FEDERAL FARM CREDIT BOARD We are opposed to sections 4, 5, and 6 of the bill which (1) establish an allpowerful independent Federal Farm Credit Board, (2) terminate, by legislation, the appointment of the present Governor of the Farm Credit Administration, (3) remove Farm Credit Administration from supervision by the Secretary of Agriculture and the President of the United States and (4) abrogates control over the cooperative farm credit system...
Stran 102 - Board, not more than one of whom shall be selected from any one Federal reserve district, the President shall have due regard to a fair representation of the financial, agricultural, industrial and commercial interests, and geographical divisions of the country.
