When you admire
a picture

22, 1925

The chances are that it is printed on

Cyko Paper

The stereoscopic effect, the tone gra-
dation, the color, the texture and the
correct interpretation of the negative,
are all part of the appeal that the life
and likeness of the picture produces-
and besides the best, the well-posted
and up-to-date photographers always
put their pictures on Cyko Paper.

"If it isn't a Cyko print, it isn't the best."

Always the best,

HAMMER PLATES

are beating their own record of supremacy.

Hammer's Special Extra Fast (red label) and Extra Fast (blue label) Plates are unexcelled for all round work, while recent improvements in manufacture make Hammer's Extra Fast Orthochromatic and D. C. Orthochromatic Plates ideal for color range and efficiency.

Many of the best photographers now consider daylight only as a substitute for Cooper Hewitt Light.- Here is what one of them has to say:

In Passing By

REETINGS FROM OUR FRIENDS. Many years ago we formed the

habit of registering our cordial thanks and best wishes on this page to those of our readers who sent us special greetings at this season of the year. We like to get these greetings and expressions of good-will. They pile cheerfulness on cheerfulness. We have not got the habit yet of sending out our own special greetings, reserving that pleasure for Abel's, but to those who remembered us we want to say-thank you and may every good wish that you have sent our way be returned to you a thousandfold. And, of course, this applies to all our readers. They are all included in our thanks and blessings.

This year we have received cards from an unusual number. Little Martha and Aileen Harris, the little daughters of G. W. Harris, never forget us, that is little Martha never does and Aileen comes now on the list. A kiss to the little ones. The Gerhard Sisters and the Goodlander Sisters and Belle Johnson (who sends a Morning Creed which goes over our desk), Mr. and Mrs. Pirie MacDonald, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Dozer, Mr. and Mrs. Waller Holladay, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Venard, Mrs. Emma Root, Charles Townsend, Ry. W. Phillips, Shorey, of Brattleboro, Vt., William H. Rau, Manly Tyree, Jos. Knaffl, the Denison Studio, of Barron, Wisc., Bill Ellis (the perpetual prize-winner), Sammy Lifshey, Bushong, Frank Dean, L. L. Higasson, of Asheville, (who puts in a bid for the National Convention for Asheville for 1940), Clarence Stearns, (who sends a most handsome card), E. S. Crosby, (who for years assisted Dozer at the box office at National Conventions and who is now in Youngstown, O.). Then from my brother editors, F. R. Fraprie, of American Photography, Thomas Coke Watkins, of the Photographic Journal of America, (formerly Wilson's) and John A. Tennant, of the Photo-Miniature. Then from those connected with the selling, manufacturing and supply end of the gamethe O. H. Peck Compay, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Murray, of Minneapolis, Frank J. Curry, Richard Salzgeber, of the Hammer Dry Plate Co., C. A. Taylor, with the same company, Geo. L. Barrows, the Agfa man, Jimmie Evans, with the A. M. Collins Mfg. Co., W. F. Thode, H. F. Hoefle, with the Eastman Kodak Co., Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Anthony, with the Ansco Company, Albert Wunderlich, manager of the John Haworth Co., of Philadelphia, H. E. Pedlow, of Philadelphia and formerly of this city. C.
