Addressing herself exclusively to the wealthy, the writer entreats them to examine the position of clergymen without private means. 10,000 ministers in the English Church receive on an average only £100 a-year, whilst they are in actual duty; and yet they are the only class of professional men for MORNING CLOUDS, Third "WE cordially recommend these letters to all our readers. They are full of good sense and right feeling, and are the work of a very graceful and highly cultivated mind." Moreover, they show great knowledge of the human heart, and the suggestions they contain are eminently practical and wholesome. Her remarks on education and choice of studies are thoroughly whom, in England, no resource is provided, when sickness or old age renders them incapable of service. An attempt is therefore made to draw attention to sad facts, little known and less considered; and to suggest, until such time as they are remedied by authority, the temporary palliative which private individuals have it in their power to afford.
