Daily potential production obtained in Mexico: In 1921, 446,715.05 cubic meters (2,809,837 barrels), or an average per well of 2,427.8 cubic meters daily (15,271 barrels). In this summary are not included the wells that produced during a short period and then became exhausted.

In the same year there were drilled in the United States, 14,600 productive wells with a total potential production daily of 469,533.43 cubic meters, equivalent to 2,954,899 barrels, or an average of 32 cubic meters per well daily (202 barrels). In other words, the oil wells of Mexico, in 1921, had a potential production 76 times greater than those of the United States, or, to put it another way, the potential capacity of approximately 184 Mexican wells was as great as that of 14,600 wells in the United States.

Of the 141 abandoned wells, 14 were producing during a short period, becoming afterwards exhausted. The sum of the production of these wells was over 41,372 cubic mts. (260,230 barrels). These 14 wells are in the Tuxpan fields.
