Stran 82 - An Act to establish a United States Shipping Board for the purpose of encouraging, developing, and creating a naval auxiliary and naval reserve and a merchant marine to meet the requirements of the commerce of the United States with its Territories and possessions and with foreign countries ; to regulate carriers by water engaged in the foreign and interstate commerce of the United States ; and for other purposes.
Stran 10 - States having jurisdiction thereof, be punished by imprisonment for not more than five years or a fine of not more than $10,000, or by both such fine and imprisonment, or If subject to military or naval law may be tried by court martial, and, on conviction, shall suffer such punishment as a court martial may direct.
Stran 24 - Retired officers of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard of the United States, while not on active duty, shall not by reason of their status as such be subject to the provisions of this section.
Stran 26 - parent" includes father and mother, grandfather and grandmother, stepfather and stepmother, father and mother through adoption, either of the person in the service or of the spouse, and persons who, for a period of not less than one year prior to the man's enlistment or induction, stood in loco parentis to the man concerned: Provided.

Stran 11 - The President is authorized, under such rules and regulations as he may prescribe, to provide for the deferment from training and service under this Act in the land and naval forces of the United States...
Stran 7 - The Director of Selective Service herein provided for shall establish a Personnel Division with adequate facilities to render aid in the replacement in their former positions of, or in securing positions for, members of the reserve components of the land and naval forces of the United States who have satisfactorily completed any period of active duty, and persons who have satisfactorily completed any period of their training and service under this Act.
Stran 58 - I. Where an honorably discharged veteran of any war, or a person honorably discharged from the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard after serving at least one enlistment or for disability incurred in line of duty, dies after discharge, a flag to drape the casket shall be furnished in all cases ; such flag to be given to the next of kin after burial of the veteran.
Stran 7 - Except as otherwise provided in this Act, every male citizen of the United States, and every other male person residing in the United States, who is between the ages of eighteen and forty-five at the time fixed for his registration, shall be liable for training and service in the land or naval forces of the United States.
