Stran 286 - O COME, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Stran 140 - Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased ; 17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away : his glory shall not descend after him.
Stran 286 - O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.
Stran 247 - You admit that it is not in the power of any man or body of men to make innovations in the body of Masonry.
Stran 317 - If I have withheld the poor from their desire, Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail ; Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, And the fatherless hath not eaten thereof...
Stran 53 - A mason is obliged, by his tenure, to obey the moral law ; and if he rightly understands the art, he will never be a stupid atheist, nor an irreligious libertine. But though in ancient times masons were charged in every country to be of the religion of that country or nation, whatever it was, yet it is now thought more expedient only to oblige them to that religion in which all men agree, leaving their particular opinions to themselves...
Stran 137 - Thou art gone to the grave ; we no longer behold thee, Nor tread the rough paths of the world by thy side; But the wide arms of mercy are spread to enfold thee, And sinners may hope, since the Saviour hath died.
Stran 144 - Forgive, blest shade, the tributary tear, That mourns thy exit from a world like this ; Forgive the wish that would have kept thee here, And stayed thy progress to the seats of bliss • No more confined to grov'ling scenes of night, No more a tenant pent in mortal clay, Now should we rather hail thy glorious flight, And trace thy journey to the realms of day.
Stran 110 - That no person hereafter, who shall be accepted as a Freemason, shall be. admitted into any Lodge or Assembly, until he has brought a certificate of the time and place of his acceptation from the Lodge that accepted him, unto the Master of that limit or division where such Lodge is kept.
Stran 168 - You agree that no visitors shall be received into your Lodge without due examination, and producing proper vouchers of their having been initiated in a regular Lodge.
