WASHINGTON, September 16, 1904. ✓ I..The President of the United States, by order dated August 18, 1904, having reserved for the purpose of a target range for the troops at Whipple Barracks, Arizona Territory, the following subdivisions of public lands situated in Yavapai County, Arizona Territory, containing approximately 1,640 acres, the same are hereby announced as a military reservation, viz: The S. of SW. of section 2: S. of section 3; S. of section 4; N. 1, N. of SW. 4, N. of SE. 4, and SW. 4 of SW. 4 of section 9; N. of section 10; and the N. of NW. of section 11-all in township 14 north, range 2 west, Gila and Salt River meridian. II. Under the provisions of paragraph 1344, Army Regulations of 1904, troops at the stations named in the following schedule of pay trips will be paid by paymasters in person: SCHEDULE OF PAY TRIPS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES, DEPARTMENT OF THE EAST. I.-Paragraph 1086, Army Regulations of 1904, is amended to read as follows: 1086. Forage is furnished to the authorized allowance of horses of mounted officers, actually owned and kept by them in the performance of their official duties, either when on duty at stations, at posts, or in the field. When on leave of absence or on duty the nature of which necessitates the temporary separation of the officer and his mounts, forage may be furnished for four months or such additional period as may be approved by the Secretary of War. Forage is furnished to the following number of horses: Of a lieutenant general, 4; of a major general or a brigadier general, 3; of all other mounted officers, each, 2. II.-The 90th Company, Coast Artillery, is relieved from duty at Fort McHenry, Maryland, and will proceed to and take station at Fort McKinley, Maine. The commanding general, Atlantic Division, is charged with the execution of this movement and will promptly report hours of departure and arrival and strength of command by telegraph to The Military Secretary of the Army.
