Stran 338 - Lord, who shall abide in Thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in Thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, And speaketh the truth in his heart.
Stran 355 - Though I look old, yet I am strong and lusty: For in my youth I never did apply Hot and rebellious liquors in my blood; Nor did not with unbashful forehead woo The means of weakness and debility; Therefore my age is as a lusty winter, Frosty, but kindly: let me go with you; I'll do the service of a younger man In all your business and necessities.
Stran 338 - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
Stran 338 - In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. 5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
Stran 340 - God, Give Us Men! God, give us men! A time like this demands Strong minds, great hearts, true faith and ready hands; Men whom the lust of office does not kill; Men whom the spoils of office cannot buy; Men who possess opinions and a will; Men who have honor; men who will not lie; Men who can stand before a demagogue And damn his treacherous flatteries without winking! Tall men, sun-crowned, who live above the fog In public duty and in private thinking...
Stran 378 - Oh ! be swift, my soul, to answer Him ! be jubilant, my feet ! Our God is marching on. In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me : As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free, While God is marching on.
Stran 461 - Resolved, That copies of these resolutions be sent to the International Federation of Trade Unions, to all national trade union centers throughout the world and to the President of the United States...
Stran 121 - Fifty years ago a man usually wore his Fraternity pin in his cravat. As time wore on the pin advanced to the lapel of the coat, then Fraternity conservatism dictated that it was ill-mannered to display it upon any place but the waistcoat. The best authorities upon the subject recognize that it is only proper to wear the pin as near the heart as possible. But at Yale several of the local societies make a specialty of wearing their pins, which are small, in their cravats.
Stran 598 - The above statement is a broad one, but inspection of the samples shown by our travelers and "silent drummers" (approval packages) will prove the assertion. We have been originators and leaders in fraternity jewelry for years, and experience has taught us the wants of students. Wait till yon see our goods.
