installation which ended about six o'clock, all proceeded to get ready for the banquet to be held at Bingham Hotel beginning at eight o'clock. Before the initiation of the new men those officers serving in the association were elected and installed to serve as officers in the new chapter.

The banquet was an affair never to be forgotten by the charter members of Alpha Sigma. Brother Lowrey, acting as toastmaster, left nothing undone to make the evening interesting. Grand Eastern Praetor, Edward Weis of Pittsburgh, was with us and gave a most interesting talk.

Alpha Sigma Chapter is very thankful, in fact will always feel indebted, to Eta Chapter for its kind assistance and willingness to aid in the organizing of this chapter. The use of their chapter-house for the initiation and installation was most fortunate for us. We shall hope for the time when we can repay their kind hospitality and join with them in many functional activities in the future.

We are grateful for Dr. Francis T. Mantz's assistance in our recent gatherings. Brother Mantz always has a warm heart for Phi Betas and we are always glad of his presence.

Bro. H. E. Smith, Alpha Nu, Utah, kindly assisted us in many ways. Brother Smith is

taking his interneship at the University Hospital. His convincing talks concerning Phi Beta Pi have done much to influence our new men beside the many beautiful songs he rendered at our affairs. We are glad to have him with us until next December.

I am pleased to be able to announce that cur committee is right busy after a house for next fall. It has several houses in view now and we expect to have a definite location before school closes this semester. I hope to be able to give this definite location in the next QUARTERLY; however, anybody desiring such information before that time can find out by writing the secretary.

It is hoped that any Phi Betas entering other schools will not forget Pennsylvania. Arrange to come and live in our house. We shall be more than glad to welcome you into our midst.

Alpha Sigma Chapter hopes that the brotherg of all the various chapters will not fail to call on us at any time they are in the city. Come and let us all get acquainted. With best wishes to all our sister chapters,

Fraternally,

CHARLES J. JAQUISH, Secretary.
