Reduced Railroad Fares.-Correction.

It is necessary to correct the statement given on pages 9 and 10 of this pamphlet as follows: Owing to the provisions of the Elkins law governing interstate commerce, the Southern Pacific and Santa Fé companies are able to make reduced rates only from points in California. A student from another state may find it to his advantage to buy a round-trip ticket from his home to the California state line, and then buy a second round-trip ticket, on the basis of a fare and a third, from the California state line to Berkeley and return.
