Stran 20 - We are no more at liberty to vary the mode of performing any part of public worship, than we are, to preach doctrines at variance with the Articles of Religion. If there be any direction for the public service of the Church, with which a clergyman cannot conscientiously comply, he is at liberty to withdraw from her ministry ; but not to violate the solemn compact which he has made with her.
