The remaining monies came from two sources, from unaffiliated individuals, primarily business and professional people, and group contributions from several departments in the Bethlehem Steel works. The largest contribution was $1,500.00 and was made by A. M. Custer, Cashier of the Penn Traffic Company, members of the Chamber of Commerce. The next largest contribution was $500.00 and was made by Robert S. Waters, President, National Radiator Corporation, members of the Chamber of Com merce. $250.00 was contributed by Wilson Slick, Manager of the Reliance Life Insurance Company, members of the Chamber of Commerce. $200.00 was contributed by District Superintendent of the American Stores, Inc., Thomas H.
