Stran 9 - To discover, procure, and preserve whatever may relate to the natural, civil, literary and ecclesiastical history of the United States in general, and of this State in particular.

Stran 55 - At a meeting of the standing committee of the corporation of Brown University, held January 10, 1831, it was unanimously resolved;— " 1. That immediate measures be taken to raise, by subscription, the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars, to be appropriated to the purchase of books for the library, and apparatus for the philosophical and chemical departments of Brown University.
