Stran 743 - No person within the jurisdiction of the United States shall knowingly utter or transmit, or cause to be uttered or transmitted, any false or fraudulent signal of distress, or communication relating thereto, nor shall any broadcasting station rebroadcast the program or any part thereof of another broadcasting station without the express authority of the originating station.
Stran 743 - communication by wire" means the transmission of writing, signs, signals, pictures, and sounds of all kinds by aid of wire, cable, or other like connection between the points of origin and reception of such transmission, including all instrumentalities, facilities, apparatus, and services (among other things, the receipt, forwarding, and delivery of communications) incidental to such transmission.
Stran 372 - To provide at least one television service to all parts of the United States. Priority No. 2 : To provide each community with at least one television broadcast station. Priority No. 3 : To provide a choice of at least two television services to all parts of the United States.
Stran 321 - If the Commission finds that the public interest, convenience, and necessity would be served thereby...
Stran 540 - All laws of the United States relating to unlawful restraints and monopolies and to combinations, contracts, or agreements in restraint of trade are hereby declared to be applicable to the manufacture and sale of and to trade in radio apparatus and devices entering into or affecting interstate or foreign commerce and to interstate or foreign radio communications.
Stran 30 - CATV's are related to interstate transmission (regardless of where the station is located, the signal often originates, via network in New York or elsewhere). Therefore, it appears to us there is no question as to the power of Congress to regulate CATV's or give the Commission jurisdiction to do so if it desires.
Stran 372 - In considering applications for licenses, and modifications and renewals thereof, when and insofar as there is demand for the same, the Commission shall make such distribution of licenses, frequencies, hours of operation, and of power among the several States and communities as to provide a fair, efficient, and equitable distribution of radio service to each of the same.
