Excellent read. As usual McCullough's narrative style makes history fascinating and understandable. I learned a lot about Washington and his staff, how they operated, how disheartening the first part of 1776 was to them and how happenstance, brilliance and perseverance made America possible. Excellent discussion at my book group last night. Now I want to learn more about what came before and after 1776!
