I have loved every McCullough book I have ever read, and this was no exception. (I have two more of his books to read before the new one is published.)
Before reading this book, the only accounts of the Revolutionary War I have read have been a few pages in a history book. This book made many of the major players three dimensional, especially George Washington and General Howe, and I learned so much about the Campaign of 1776. The book was fascinating and a great read if you like history.
