Very interesting account of the fateful year 1776 when our county's fate swung between a a series of triumphs and defeats. I had no idea of the amazing maneuver Washington achieved in surprising the British in Boston with an overnight taking of the high ground and the subsequent withdrawal of all british troops form Boston. Then the humiliating defeat in NY and but the successful retreat under cover of a stormy night.
