A great insight into the events of this pivotal year in American history. None of us can truly fathom the sacrifices our ancestors made to secure our freedom, but this book goes a ways to bridging that gap. All in the excellent story telling way we have come to expect from David McCullough. If you enjoy reading about history but aren't sure about the Revolutionary period as a topic, read this book!
