A year in the life of a country. Refreshed my sense of history and the role fortune--as in a treacherous ice storm--can change the course of history and the world. Very readable as always. I particularly liked excerpts from the diaries and letters to love ones sprinkled through the fast moving narrative of General Washington's, "his Excellency's" triumphs and frequent defeats.
