Again it contains much information that I learned in college. However by focussing on one year, McCullough had the space to focus on the details. I especially found the section on New York City new material. When I thought of the Revolutionary War I thought of Boston, Mass and Virginia. I did know about the "Crossing of the Delaware" but this explains quite a bit about what was happening in the city that led up to that crossing. Of course, it also explores how the Declaration of Independence cam to be written and its affect. Again it is a good read, and very informative.
