The first part of the book about the battle of Boston was a lot of fun because it touched a several locations local to me, which gave the story a more tangible quality.
The amazing news of the Arab Spring made a revisit to the events of the of our own revolution more pertinent and exciting.
Despite knowing how things turn out, the final chapters are emotional; as a beaten, ragged, untrained army, on the brink of dissolution (their contracts were up) and defeat, and on the run from a force several times in size, are cheered to fight on in a Braveheart moment by the legendary General Washington on horseback, in a last ditch effort to turn the tide.
Good historical storytelling.
