It learned some things about the American Revolution and its players. Both things I did not know at all and a revision of things I thought I knew. It did confirm my view of the American Revolution. Despite what the history books say about the high ideals of the founding fathers they were just a bunch of wealthy brats fighting to hand on to all their stuff which included slaves. Sometimes the military battle and strategies description got a bit ponderous. McCullough read the book and I found his voice a bit ponderous. I will be listening to his Wright Brothers and hope to be a bit more delighted with that one.
