At first this book felt more like propaganda than history, but I think the author was glassing over the details and only telling the parts that showed the early Americans in a good light so he could get o the meet of what he wanted to write about and that was the actual battles in the war. I grew on me as the book went on and I feel I learned quite a bit about the first year of the Revolutionary War and frankly it seemed like a completely unwindable war at the end of the first year.
