McCullough's writing style makes the topic approachable and an easier read than many history books. In that sense, and in that I like U.S. History from the revolutionary era through the constitutional era, I enjoyed the book. However, maybe due to some over-saturation on my part, I didn't really find anything in the book that was particularly insightful or uniquely interesting as compared to some other history books of this era that I have read. So, an easy history read, but nothing all that fascinating to be discovered in its pages.
