This was more thorough than I was looking for, but I learned many more details, attitudes, idiosyncrasies that I wouldn't have picking up a shorter book. You could really get a sense of how the country was changing. Great for history buffs or those wanting to know the WHOLE truth about the birth of our country and beyond, not just the snip-its that are the same and give a totally different feel of how the history was made.
