Prior to reading 1776, I thought that George Washington was an overrated rich guy, who happened to be in the right place at the right time to become a famous founder, and later President of the United States. I thought the real reasons were because he had a lot of cash and was considerably tall. Upon reading 1776, I realized that Washington was given a job that nobody in his right mind would ever want. General Nathanael Green shows how you can win a war by losing just about every battle. Read it, read it, read it!
