It's hard to imagine giving any book by David McCollough anything less than 5 stars. I really couldn't put this one down. This was a surprise to me. It largely details the movement of George Washington and his troops during 1776 leading up to the crossing of the Delaware. Military battles don't usually excite me, but the human element of this time was fascinating. The drama of the actual crossing was exceptionally well done in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with an interesting in American history.
