I love learning about history and found the material pretty interesting. McCullough gives some great perspectives on the thought processes of our American leaders during the Revolutionary War. It shows the gravity Washington and other leaders took leading a bunch of rag-tag revolutionaries against the British Empire. McCullough also uses great primary sources and you can really hear the voices of the times (American and British). However, my biggest issue was that the pace was a little too slow for me. I felt like I had to take a break from this book from time to time.
