A little light summer reading! ;) I read this as a follow up to The Killer Angels, although they're about different wars. I didn't like 1776 as much as I expected to, since it's gotten such rave reviews. It was definitely interesting and I admire the tremendous amount of research that David McCullough did. I just found it a little hard to follow the movements of the troops, which McCullough described in some detail. The addition of maps would have been very helpful. I didn't have much background knowledge of the specifics of the Revolutionary War.
